As we head into the final stretch before winter break, our classrooms remain full of curiosity, creativity, and meaningful learning. While the excitement of the season is certainly in the air (and the weather conversations have been very lively ☃️), students have continued to engage deeply with their academic work.
Across grades, students have been examining texts with holiday and winter themes, exploring celebrations around the world, and sharing family traditions in thoughtful and respectful ways (check out the photos below). These conversations have sparked strong connections between reading, writing, social studies, and art.
And all of our classrooms enjoyed hands-on activities where they designed and created holiday-themed items—bringing imagination, problem-solving, and joy together in true Finn fashion.
The Finn Staff was treated to a Hot Chocolate station by our wonderful parent organization, Finn SOS. Thank you SOS for all you do. And YES, it was me who ate all the mini marshmallows.
And our Kindergarten students had a presentation by one of our Student Interns, Zophia, who taught all of our K students how to tap dance. Nice work Zophia!
As a quick scheduling reminder:
-
Monday is a full day of school
-
Tuesday is an early release, half day
Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support and enjoy the weekend.
