I hope you all stayed safe and warm through our first major snowstorm of the season. While our students have been excited about the snow, the frigid temperatures have prevented us from going out and enjoying the snow. We’re hopeful that the weather will warm up next week so students can head outside and have some snowy fun.
Speaking of cold weather, we are excited to announce our 2nd Annual “Share the Warmth” Drive (see flyer below), organized by our 1st Grade teacher, Betsy Loeffler. This drive supports individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We would love to exceed last year’s donation total, so please consider contributing if you are able. A donation box is available in the lobby.
Our preschoolers are reading One Dark Night by Lisa Wheeler, illustrated by Eva-Marie Nevarez (photo below). This heartwarming story focuses on friendship, overcoming fear of the dark, and unexpected kindness. And that a “scary” creature can be a misunderstood friend.
And our first graders are enjoying Tacky the Penguin, a humorous story that celebrates individuality and acceptance. Through Tacky’s unconventional behavior, students learn that being different can be a strength and that unique traits can make a meaningful difference.
Finally, Please make sure all of your child's clothing is labeled. We have a lot of clothing in our lobby and it's growing each day.
Thank you for your continued support, and stay warm!
