Mary Finn School Update week ending Friday, March 27th, 2026

Main entrance

Dear Finn Families,

Thank you so much for the many thoughtful emails wishing me a speedy recovery. I truly appreciate your kindness and support. I’m doing well and following my doctor’s orders, and I look forward to being back with everyone soon.

In the meantime, I want to extend my sincere thanks to Ed Kaufman (Mr. K), the Finn Leadership Team, and our dedicated staff for ensuring that everything continues to run smoothly in my absence.

I also want to share appreciation for yesterday’s Community Read Day. A big thank you to Finn SOS for organizing this special annual event. From the photos and feedback, it was a wonderful morning filled with meaningful moments for our students.

And next time your out back of our school, Please check out the incredible work done to our Finn Family Garden by Southborough resident and Eagle Scout Candidate, James Henebury. More info about Jame's work is below.

Looking ahead, Parent/Teacher Conferences are quickly approaching on April 16th and 17th. In addition to scheduling time with your child’s classroom teacher, families are also invited to meet with our specialists—Mr. McCabe (Gym), Mrs. Morgan (Music), Mrs. Graziani (Spanish), Ms. Mahoney (Art), and Mrs. Wagoner (Library). Please use the link below to sign up:

As always, please take a moment to review the flyers for upcoming events.

Enjoy the weekend.

Finn Family Garden Gets New Fence- James Henebury, Eagle Scout Project at Finn

As part of his Eagle Scout Award, James proposed a redesign of the Finn Family Garden fencing, purchased, and installed the new fencing. James ended up fronting a lot of the material cost, and is still fundraising for the project, so if you'd like to contribute, here's a bit from James.

"Hello, my name is James Henebury from troop 1 southborough. You may have already seen my eagle project in construction. If you haven’t, my project was to replace the fence around the Finn Family Garden. Part of an Eagle project is to raise money to pay for the project. I am a little short of my goal. If you would like to donate, please send to my dad’s Venmo, @ryan-henebury. Any extra money above my goal would go to the school to continue to maintain and run the garden."
