A very special week of learning at Finn. Our Kindergarten and Grade 1 students had the opportunity to visit Algonquin High School to enjoy live musical performances—an experience they will not soon forget.
A special thank you to Jeanette Morgan for organizing this memorable trip, and to Ed Kaukman ( Mr. K) and all of our Finn staff who ensured students traveled safely and smoothly.
We are also incredibly grateful to Algonquin Principal, Sean Bevan, and the entire Algonquin staff and students for their warm welcome and inspiring performances.
Cross-school experiences like this spark curiosity and help our youngest learners begin to imagine all that lies ahead. From the photos (some below) and messages shared with me, it’s clear this was a huge success!
Looking ahead, a few important reminders and opportunities:
-
Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on April 16th and 17th. We look forward to connecting with you to discuss your child’s growth and progress.
-
Finn’s Annual Book Fair runs from April 6–10—a fantastic opportunity to celebrate reading and build excitement around books.
- Please consider attending the "Kickin it for Kasey" Fundraiser Carnival at Algonquin and supporting a meaningful cause by donating to “Kickin’ It for Kasey”, which raises funds for brain cancer research.
And finally, some good news we can all appreciate—next week’s forecast is calling for dry weather! That means students will be able to enjoy our fields during outdoor recess (fingers crossed it and we'll be preparing our Finn Family Gardens for planting.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and enjoy the long weekend and Happy Easter to those who celebrate.
