It has been another exciting week here at the Finn School. And we count down the days, each week is filled with learning and fun activities and events.
One of the highlights of the week was our whole-school Bubble Party, generously sponsored and facilitated by our amazing Finn SOS. DJ Mike, who was originally scheduled to lead the event, was unfortunately unable to attend due to illness, and about 15-20 parents all volunteered to keep the event on schedule. And because of Finn SOS, the celebration was still a tremendous success. Thank you all!!!!
In Grade 1, students continued their study of maps and mapping skills. As part of their learning, students created their own maps complete with keys and symbols, demonstrating their understanding of how maps help us navigate and understand our world. (Check out the photos that follow).
Our Preschool students explored art and nature by creating beautiful feather paintings. Using feathers as their painting tools, students experimented with color, texture, and movement to create unique works of art.
Today, we were also fortunate to welcome some very special guests during lunchtime. Members of the Southborough Police Department visited Finn and generously served pizza to all of our students. The visit provided students with an opportunity to interact with our local police officers in a positive and meaningful way while enjoying a special lunch together. We are grateful for the Southborough Police Department's continued support of our school community and for taking the time to connect with our students.
And please take a moment to fill out the linked invitation for families and students to complete the Food Services Survey. The District really appreciates your input and feedback.
And finally a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Liam Corey for being the 2026 Wellness Week winner. See the photo of Liam below.
We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful weekend even though temps are expected to be in the 30's tomorrow.
Enjoy the weekend.
