Dear Finn School Families,
We're getting a bit closer to the end of the school year. Only a couple weeks to go.
And as we do, our learning still continues, but we also increase our special end-of-the-year activities and celebrations.
This week K and Gr1 students took part in Finn's Annual Field Day. Students spent time taking part in activities such as bowling, ball through, rope swings, scooterboarding, and many other fun activities. Many parents volunteered to help run the stations and our students had a great time.
Also this week, we also had the pleasure of celebrating our 13 dedicated Senior Volunteers. These remarkable community members generously give their time to support our Preschool, Kindergarten, and Grade 1 classrooms. Whether reading with students, making copies, assisting in the main office, or helping with countless other tasks, their contributions make a meaningful difference each and every day. We are incredibly grateful for their commitment and the positive relationships they build with our students and staff.
Today, our Kindergarten students had an amazing time participating in Kindergarten Fun Day! Students rotated through a variety of engaging activities, including water play stations, jewelry making, tie-dye shirt creations, and many other hands-on experiences. It was a day filled with lots of smiles and fun.
On Wednesday, students participated in our second-to-last Walk to School Wednesday of the year. It was wonderful to see so many students and families enjoying the walk to school before the warm and humid weather arrived. Thank you to everyone who continues to support this healthy and fun tradition.
Finally, yesterday we welcomed Captain Doane from the Southborough Fire Department, who spoke with students during lunch about the importance of staying safe at home and in the community. Students asked lots of questions and enjoyed the presentation.
Enjoy the weekend.
Clayton and the Finn School Staff
